  • Christian Mothers hold candy fundraiser
Holy Rosary Christian Mothers will hold a Sarris Candy Sale just in time for Christmas gift giving. The forms are available in the back of the church and must be returned to the church by Nov. 11. Delivery is the weekend of Dec. 16 & 17. Make checks payable to Holy Rosary Christian Mothers. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Christian Mothers. Since there is no longer a spaghetti dinner, this fundraiser will help to provide needed items for the church paid for by the Christian Mothers, including the missals, and Baptism and First Communion gifts. Election Day Spaghetti Dinners were discontinued because of lack of volunteers and the amount of work involved in preparing for the event.

  • Parish Grouping includes Holy Rosary, St. Patrick, Miraculous Medal
On Sept. 7, the On Mission Commission presented parish grouping recommendations to Bishop Zubik. These recommendations are not final decisions.
A parish grouping is a collection of individual parishes in a common geographic area proposed to become one new parish over time.
Holy Rosary is in the parish grouping which also includes St. Patrick, Canonsburg, and Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, Meadowlands.
Bishop Zubik will meet monthly until Dec. 14, 2017, with his Priest Council to review the Commission’s recommendations and seek their feedback. During this time Bishop Zubik will also consult with the Diocesan Pastoral and Finance councils. Bishop Zubik will study the feedback as he continues to discern his final decisions regarding the parish groupings.
The final parish groupings will be announced in April 2018. and will take effect in the fall of 2018. When the parish groupings first take effect there will be no immediate parish mergers and no church buildings are closing
